A welcome from our Ministry Development Officer, Rev Chris Siriweera:
On behalf of the Ministry Development Committee l want to thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I trust that the website will serve to help you understand the overall focus and ministry strategy of the MDC in serving the Presbyterian Church Of Victoria by ‘Helping Grow Healthy Churches By His Spirit And For His Glory.’
I am committed to help churches achieve their goals and objectives by working with Ministers, Elders and other leadership to support, train and equip them to focus on the spiritual health of their congregations. One of the major components of this is the ‘Church Revitalisation’ course that has been put together to assists congregations.
I am fully aware that the church belongs to Christ and that ultimately apart from His blessings and grace that we can achieve nothing. However, I am also mindful of the task the Lord has entrusted to us His people to do our part to build His church.
The MDC and I are fully committed to assist congregations in various ways. For example, where applicable we provide funding for cross cultural ministry workers, second workers, evangelistic events, and grants to congregations. All of this funding is within the framework of promoting church revitalisation and church health.
Once again, many thanks for visiting our website. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if I can be of any help.
In His Service,
'Neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.' 1 Corinthians 3:7
